Description

European and national laws regulate worker safety and require employers to assess risks and implement necessary interventions. When risks cannot be eliminated, employers must provide appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). However, safety management requires large investments and supervision to ensure proper use of PPE. IoT and Blockchain technologies can be functionalized to record security-related events in an immutable and transparent way, so to objectively quantifying the level of security achieved. RFID technology and automated surveillance agents can be used to record operations and issue consents. The number of events recorded in the Blockchain can quantify the degree of security achieved. Support actions can be provided to test the technology in an agricultural environment and to design and implement the necessary changes to the system.
