Description

Centrifugal fertilizer spreaders are by far the most commonly used fertilizer spreader in Belgium and Europe. Although simple in working principle and low in cost, the spreading process for these machines is difficult to control and depends on both machine settings, physical fertilizer properties and external factors such as wind. This leads to over- or under application with economic loss for the farmer and losses to the environment. With our spreader calibration service, we aim to assist farmers in the correct calibration of their machine for their specific fertilizer type and application. For spreader manufacturers and fertilizer producing companies, we can perform measurements using our computer vision based SpreadWise system, to investigate the effect of various parameters that are otherwise very difficult to measure (e.g. spreading during wind or on a slope).
