Description
To meet the objectives of the Green Deal (halving pesticide use by 2030), farmers will need innovative (precision) crop protection equipment including map and sensor based precision spraying, non-chemical weed and disease control and robotic solutions. This service offers the evaluation of the performance of innovative (precision) crop protection equipment using dedicated measuring equipment and protocols both in lab and field conditions. The ILVO Spray Tech Lab is one of the only ISO 17 025 accredited spray technology laboratories in the world specialised in the characterisation of sprayers and spray nozzles. Moreover, we offer the possibility to test sensor based precision spray technologies as well as non-chemical solutions (mechanical, laser, UV, etc.) in field conditions. All these applications can be combined and tested with a robotic framework to realise autonomous applications for crop protection.
